Yuheng Yan is an awarded composer, and guitarist specializing in music for media and currently resides in LA. As a composer, Yuheng primarily draws from an orchestral landscape and often infuses modern electronic production techniques and rock/metal and folk influences into his music.
Born and raised in Chongqing, China, Yuheng's education journey on music began at the age of 8 when he started studying piano performance under several well-know local instructors. At the age of 15 he started studying guitar performance and music production. With less than 3 years, Yuheng got accepted to Berklee College of music, majoring in Film Scoring and Music Performance. During his time at Berklee, Yuheng Studied closely under award winning composers Tim Huling, Claudio Ragazzi, Andreas Bjork, and Ruth Mendelson. Yuheng received his Film Scoring and Music Performance Bachelor's degree from Berklee College of Music in December 2020.
Since moving to Los Angeles in 2020, Yuheng has worked with the Emmy-nominated composer Philip Giffin on a series of films and music productions, most notably, on Reel One Entertainment's Christmas movie - My Favorite Christmas Melody (2021). Later on, Yuheng was invited to join the internationally renowned British film composer Dominic Lewis's music team at Dubadee Music. Since then, Yuheng has worked on various high profile movies and TV shows such as My Adventure with Superman (2023), Lift (2023), The Fall Guy (scheduled to release in 2024), and Monsters At Work Season 2 (2023).
